New Prescriptions

New prescriptions are normally only issued during an office visit. In some emergency situations, established patients may be given a prescription without being seen. Normally, this requires a prompt follow-up visit.

Filling Prescriptions

Most prescriptions are electronically issued directly to your pharmacy during your office visit. Please be aware that, although we transmit the prescription immediately, some pharmacies require 48 hours or more to process the prescription. (This often occurs when they have centralized prescription handling, that must process the prescription before forwarding it to the individual store for filling.) Accordingly, you will want to call your pharmacy to confirm that your prescription is ready before going to the pharmacy.

If you need to refill a prescription, please contact your pharmacy and have them send us a refill request by e-prescription. This allows us to process your request most efficiently, and insures that the request is filled at the proper pharmacy.
